“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” - Zig Ziglar How you start your day is important- in life and in business. For me, juggling my personal life and my career can easily become overwhelming. 🤹‍♀️I can lose sight of my daily goals, get lost in the details, and completely derailed by any hiccups. I learned the hard way that I have to have a plan, start each day by assessing the particular needs of that day alone, and ready myself, mind, body, and soul for the day ahead. I end my work day in a similar fashion. I wind down, I reorganize, and I reset my expectations. I stop working physically and mentally with intention. ✨I have to be intentional!✨I have to take the time to set up and end my days well so that I can be fully present as a mom, wife, and friend in my personal life. Statistics show that you will fail. Yep, you read that right. 👀Statistically speaking many people have given up on their new year’s resolution by the second week of January. I don’t know about you, but I’ve certainly done this a time or two in my life. Set a lofty resolution and tried to do a complete overhaul of my life in one fell swoop. Go big or go home right!? Wrong. ❌There’s no one reason I struggled sticking to my new year’s resolutions, it was a multitude of things. 👉Mindset- I didn’t believe I could, and I didn’t believe I deserved it. 👉All or Nothing Mentality- I was trying to make HUGE changes in my life all at one time. 👉Not Acknowledging My Progress & Setting Unrealistic Expectations- I expected too much from myself, and I didn't acknowledge my victories.
